International Metodological Meeting

On 26 June 2021, the second international professional meeting took place in Csíkszereda, Hungary, on the elaboration of the project’s methodological framework and the content development concept.

Together with our partners, we wanted to elaborate the content development process: to define the pedagogical methodology according to the predefined objectives, to define the content of the curriculum. Our intention was to start developing the sample tasks and to start writing several deliverables, such as the first draft of the content and the software design.

According to the pedagogical methodology, the curriculum is based on the amount of knowledge to be acquired by the end of grade 8, using the task types of the PISA tests, with a focus on competence development, differentiation and the motivational power of playful interaction. During the task design process, ongoing consultation between partners, teachers, the expert group and parents/carers ensures that needs are properly assessed and opinions are sought. The development of online and offline methodologies to meet the pedagogical objectives has been discussed and the quantitative and content criteria for the learning materials to be produced have been defined, as well as the characteristics of the minimum requirements.

The curriculum for Parents prepares them for effective cooperation with schools. The interactive content, consisting of short texts, videos and audio material, is intended to provide useful practical knowledge on the most frequently encountered difficulties. The topics to be covered are:

  • conflict management in an assertive way,
  • controlling children’s online activities: benefits and risks,
  • bullying at school,
  • homework help.
