The “level-jumping maths tutorial” means that if the student clearly understands and knows something, the app will automatically move up one level and give the next problem from the more complex (higher) level.
Students are not left to their own devices to learn; each task comes with help and explanations to guide the student through the material, just as a teacher would in the classroom. If the student fails to solve the problem, the first step of the help task is to try to guide the student to the solution, but if the student still fails, the second step is to use the built-in explanation to show the student the correct way to solve the problem.
