How can maths be interesting? Vlogger videos in the curriculum

We wanted to complement the maths task set with video content that would make the curriculum more engaging and understandable for children. We wanted to create vlogger content to stimulate interest in mathematics, adapting to the needs and media consumption habits of the younger generation.

Vloggers as teachers or teachers as vloggers?

Vlogger Péter Retkes, who produces maths content, has produced dozens of maths explainer videos with a whiteboard-like application. The videos are methodologically well-structured, explaining in plain language and visualising the task itself, the process and explanation of how to solve the task, and the vlogger himself.

Vlogger explanations are effective in increasing student motivation and interest in the subject matter, enhancing the learning experience and contributing to better understanding. The video explanations have been popular with students, and the content has been able to stimulate interest in mathematics even among less motivated students.
